As VJE leader and drummer Josh Feldstein puts it, his band strives to appeal "to everyone from people in their twenties who know nothing about bebop to people in their '80s who grew up in the swing era.” Not an easy challenge, but one the VJE consistently manages to accomplish with their unique style and creativity.

From their number one 2018 JazzWeek album Connect the Dots, to their four additional top 10 albums since 2012, the VJE is now preparing to record and release their 9th album in early 2025. Now performing under the Jazzheads record label, the VJE is known for their entertaining mix of popular and lesser-known jazz standards, as well as original compositions by various members of the band...responsible for the VJE’s growing listening audience in the US and around the world.
